Not to knock your item selection but why do you need power set rush? I'm thinking there is a better item to shoot for here as the ward provides much of the benefits that the set gives.

there is no real reason to get powerset, other than the 25+ all stats and the HP regen that stacks with your ward regen.

yea those skills give a sexy combo. I prefer going basic mystics with staff though; might work for you if u give it a try. Staff first, then cloak.

Ummm you dont need staff for this build and here is why. Staff is mainly about the HP. Banshee has great HP to begin with plus u have HP bonus. Sure the damage is nice, but i would prefer tiara and go for powerset for the extra stats. if you go for basic mystics cloak first it actually slows down your farming by at least 1 spawn early because of lack of boots, mana isnt' too much of an issue for banshee you are limited by how fast you move.

As far as I'm concerned you can never have too much hp. As items go Power Set is 4,000 gold and the only thing your getting from it is +3hp regen and +25 to all stats. My only suggestion is to fish around with some other item combinations and see how they work. If you settle on power set that is fine but I think there is something a little better for this particular build.

i would work toward thieves mask after you get you crown of ages. Thieves mask gives you lots of variety for mid to late game too, You can go sigent in your against a kiter, hat thingy if you need evasion, or burning halo for int agility and an hp boost.

I know thieves mask rush has its down sides too you will be fairly low dmg until it is complete also low hp and defense, but think of it as a distraction your foes wont expect the huge change that happens once you mask is complete,

that post is from just over a year ago; nice to see how ideas have evolved though. Back then, not many people really went for thieves fast; I believe it was before the agility nerf.

It's not bad idea considering new guys tend to bump old topics. Back then thieves only upgraded to shroud you didn't have halo or signet to consider. Flame strike was the staple to a lot of builds because it was the most seen skill used. Frost fall was also fairly common run skill as well. Oddly enough you can probably get by grabbing storm bolt and using a set of bombs to enhance the wards ability to farm. Bombs were used to enhance other farmers but they're capable of giving semi-farmers enough kick to farm as well as the farmers. Going into a duel with all dueling skills while being the same level as the guy using a farmer is a win win kind of deal. The thing to note here is the goal of level 9 by the first duel. Considering duel times were cut by a whole minute that seems to be an unrealistic goal.

if you play your cards right with flamestrike i have seen level 9 acheived but only in 1v1 games, is not too difficult to achieve not easy, but do-able but you have to be aggressive; levels 8 and 9 by first duel is not for mary misses.

To hit level 9 your going to need to farm 9-10 full camps. To do that in the allowed time your going to need a near endless supply of mana and really fast move speed. It's not a realistic goal because it assumes you automatically won the game.

The only build I can consistently hit 9 with is prince of light with BoF, restore mana, and an ult with any farming potential.

I did hit 10 once with it, using holy light and locust; but I was lucky in my farming.

MY badger build (flamestrike, hibernate, stats, badger) can also hit level 8 for 90% of games. And that is just flamestrike farming, with some added int from stats.

the build up there; I really see no problem with either. Demon can stun in duel, allowing for a full flamestrike to the face. You can also stun to keep them within range of the ward. They cant really outrange the ward too well, because doing so will allow your flamestrike to recharge, and your demons stun to cooldown again. It still stands as a good build; and with some good farming (maybe mana regen innate) you could still hit 8 with it.

Using Demon with flamestrike also allows you to use the demons spells to weaken ams allowing more spell damage from the flamestrike.
