I know there are lots of builds that pick generic farming ults. And since the forum has been so boring lately why not start a discussion about which farming ult you prefer and why.

I like Elemastery the best. Why? It has no cd. You can use it all game with you autoattack, it is based on luck, and i am a lucker. the real reason, is it farms just as well as any farming ult after lvl 12 or so and it pvp's like a boss. except if its not 1v1 then it doesn't pvp as well

in a 1v1 situation, wrath of hell is my favorite. because it kills a creep spawn quicker than most other farming ults, and because it provides a good stun in pvp. in a team game, i would say tornado because it slows, damages, and disables. the trifecta of a team skill.

Elemastery by far is the best ultimate. Its burns mana, hits multiple targets, slows, damages over time. Plus it cannot be completely countered. Burns through ams super fast. even if someone has 95% spell reductions, The same ammount of mana is burned and the same slow effect works. I wouldnt say its based so much on luck as it is on bat and atk speed. the faster u atk the more times it'll proc. Same idea with blood bath, The faster your being atked the more it;ll proc.

All depends on your build, if you are a glass cannon int hero and want to win by out leveling and pressuring your opponent than wrath/starfall/tornado are better

obviously wrath/starfall/tornado are better in a team game. so id say 65/35 ele mastery is going to be better for you in 1v1 and 85/15 wrath/fall/nado are going to be better in a team game.

They are all fairly balanced in my opinion

yeah, the effectiveness of a farming ulti really depends on what your build is. the thing that makes farming ultimates alot different from other big aoe farmers is that the dmg from them is rarely simple. tornado and foul earth and others go trhough spell immunity and ams, wrath of hell does physical dmg but is affected by ams, ect ect. this means that you can just use supersonic or avatar or ams to stop a farming ulti, which makes them pretty powerful until they have ample spell reduction. they are all varied in different ways tho, you should be able to look at your build and decide which would fit the best with what you have and what items you will get

forgot to mention that bombs mini stun counters all channeling spells, which is a big hit to farming ults, especially for those who use them in duels, if you are trying to stop someone spawn stealing with you w/ starfall level 1 bombs are they way to go, if you dont have a reliable stun/silence already

ELEMASTERY. hands down. use it all the time. The combination of all the skills, not needin a farmer, and stuff.

ya... its not about which ult is the best, because they are all balanced relatively well, i was more interested on who uses what ult, because its more about play style when it comes to farming ults

Well in that case for me Tornado is taken over Starfall/Wrath, because you can very easily, take both mid spawn from the center pad (Just dont stand on the pad while casting, did it once and was very dissapointed)

Well star fall hands down is my favorite. Idk any peticular reason why, probably cuz i liek the shooting stars falling down on all the creeps lmao. O.o Pretty Colors!o.O

Yes when you port to the arena your spell is interrupted, I learned the hard way (but it was from Foul Earth)

in big team games, i like to get foul earth and a ally with weak c(or vice versa) foul earth is is CRAZY dmging mid-late game, and takes a percentage of your health so no matter how tanky you are it is always scary. in 1v1s, i like wrath of hell for big physical dmg, stun, a very fast way to clear creep spawns, and a decent pvp ability ( they wont be able to move out of it until after a few waves if you cast right on top of them, or just use stuns)

I don't have a favorite in particular they're all pretty good and most accomplish the same overall goal. As I do random a lot I like ultimate's that can be used in all builds. So from my point of view puppet mastery and mana explosion are garbage because only a select set of builds or hero models work with them. I'll touch on a few favorites that I prefer the less popular skill to than the more popular. You know how some player's love the skill tidal rush? I like the skill too but I also love the skill meteor shower because with good positioning you can easily farm two spawns. The most notable is to double mid farm but with a second level it is possible to farm mid + bot. With a third level it is possible to farm the long stretch of the top spawn creeps. The last tidbit of info however is entirely based on luck. The other two while being luck based can easily be done with proper positioning and creep drawing. Many of you love the skill element mastery. I love the skill too but after a few games I started to notice on some heroes critical master farmed just as good. The difference being a few lucky proc's and you clear the wave. However with critical master you can two shot each creep in the wave. All of this information is reliant on how far ahead of your opponent you actually are.

Just a quick tidbit, the math is done somewhere.

Ele maaasry offers less DPS than magicenhanced attcks.

also.. wireless keyboards are gheyyyyy...

Really, getting a farming ulti (like tidal, starfall, ect) and magic enhanced attacks; along with a 2 point early farmer. You will level a bit faster, be better off for PVP, and your opponent will have no idea why he is taking so much damage. Plus, you dont lose that 10% HP.

Downside, is that if you are ranged, lifesteall your only orb. Not saying that is terrible. though, a drawback.

Considering that the above can work on any build though; I think it is a valid suggestion against why people should use ele mastery.

Though Elemastery does offer less DPS, it also makes you more of an AOE presence that offers slow and mana burns, which means it is not fully countered by Magic Resistence, especially in terms of shadowstrikes. But i do agree MEA much better if you can afford to get it. If you get it on ranged though it really is dangerous! it stops you from countering many things : (. But i do love MEA on melee.
